About
What Is AKAS
In our view, it refers to the air, atmosphere, or space in which we live in our daily life. These atmospheres or air are important things close to us that we touch and feel with every breath. The name “AKAS” in Thai or “Air” represents our intention and has served as inspiration for our design work.
Our Approach
We believe that each home or building reflects the personality of the owner. The design possibilities are endless, inspire us to seek alternative solutions with our clients.
We consider a variety of contexts, such as climate, location, budget, functional space, belief, culture, and consumer desires, combined with our experiences to create an architectural design that best fulfills the client's needs while also creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Founded by Kamonchanok Wijuckhapan and Soon Thaithaworn, both graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. One of us had worked for the Department of Architecture firm, while the other had worked with the Steven J Leach Ltd. To service their clients in architectural design, the two co-founded the studio AKAS.
